It maintains a cleaner indoor environment by going through the stages of collecting airborne particles, including bacteria and viruses, followed by sterilization and filtration (pre-filter → UV sterilization lamp → HEPA filter). The ACE-5000 is equipped with casters for easy mobility. Additionally, with simple ductwork, a regular hospital room can be converted into a negative pressure room (in compliance with CDC guidelines and OSHA regulations). Not only does the air pass through the UV sterilization lamp zone, but the pre-filter is also exposed to UV light to sterilize and inactivate microorganisms. This reduces the risk of secondary infections during filter changes. (However, filter changes must be conducted in accordance with infection control protocols.)
